The challenge
When we reviewed the risk, it became clear that the business was not fully complying with the unattended processes condition attached to its existing policy.
The condition itself was not unreasonable. The issue was that it had not been properly explained to the client, so they did not fully understand what they needed to do for the cover to respond.
What we looked at
We worked closely with the broker and the client to understand the processes, identify the practical changes required and make sure the policy conditions reflected the way the business operated.
The outcome
The client was able to make the necessary amendments and continue with its unattended processes, knowing exactly what was required and that the policy would respond, subject to the agreed terms and conditions.
Why it matters
A condition is only useful if the client understands it.
